Scholarship & Award Information

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi's ongoing commitment to excellence is reflected in its scholarships and awards programs. More than $800,000 is awarded each year to outstanding Phi Kappa Phi members and chapters through the Society's various awards competitions: the Fellowship, Phi Kappa Phi Scholar & Artist, Emerging Scholar Awards, Study Abroad Grants, Literacy Grants, and Love of Learning.
Phi Kappa Phi sets high standards for its award recipients. Selection committees comprised of representatives from each of the Society's five regions carefully review all applications. Applicants are evaluated based on numerous factors, including academic recognition and awards, campus and community involvement, leadership experiences, and quality and scope of proposed program
If you would like further information about the various awards, please send an email to awards@phikappaphi.org (National Headquarters)

 Graduate Fellowship Program

http://www.phikappaphi.org/Web/Scholarships/graduatefellowship.html
From its humble beginnings in 1929, the Phi Kappa Phi Graduate Fellowship Program has become one of the largest and most respected scholarship programs in the country, allocating more than $460,000 annually to outstanding students for first-year graduate study.
Each year, Phi Kappa Phi offers 60 Fellowships of $5,000 each and 40 Awards of Excellence of $2,000 each. Every chapter has the opportunity to submit one nominee. Since the Fellowship Program's inception, more than 2,000 students have benefited. The multidisciplinary nature of Phi Kappa Phi is reflected in its Fellowship and Award of Excellence recipients. Awardees represent a variety of fields including biology, chemistry, engineering, political science, mathematics and psychology. Likewise, the professions they select are equally diverse: law, medicine, business, education, science, or the arts.

Publications

As a benefit of membership, Phi Kappa Phi produces two major publications. Its printed magazine, Phi Kappa Phi Forum, features in each issue a variety of articles on topics of interest, both timely and timeless, designed to appeal to the diverse membership of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
An electronic magazine called the Honor Cord is posted three times-per-year and focuses on topics such as job search techniques, presentation skills, and post-graduate study.
A monthly e-mail communication, Monthly Mentions, also was created to keep members informed of exclusive Phi Kappa Phi activities and opportunities.
Explore Phi Kappa Phi and the Distance Learner, a white paper created by the Membership Opportunities Committee. The purpose of the paper is to provide chapters with the necessary background, discussion of the issues, and future direction of distance education. This information will encourage and enable chapters to identify, initiate, and provide services for distance learners whom they believe embody the qualities of Phi Kappa Phi.
Finally, Phi Kappa Phi produces an Annual Report that offers a comprehensive "year-in-review" of the Society, including complete financial statements and schedules.
